Morocco's six expected World Cup 2030 host cities are Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Fes and Agadir. Rabat and Tangier's stadiums are already finished. The giant new Grand Stade Hassan II near Casablanca, planned at about 115,000 seats, is under construction, and Marrakech, Agadir and Fes are in a second phase of rebuilding. FIFA had not ratified the final stadium list when we checked, and no match schedule exists, so treat this as a planning guide. We were in all of these cities except Agadir in August and September 2022.
Status comes from Le360's report of September 2026 unless noted. Capacity figures vary between sources, so these are approximate.
| City | Stadium | Capacity | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casablanca area | Grand Stade Hassan II, at Benslimane | About 115,000 planned | Under construction. Le360 gives a December 2027 target; other reports say late 2028 |
| Rabat | Prince Moulay Abdellah | About 69,000 | Open since September 2025 |
| Tangier | Tangier Grand Stadium | About 75,000 | Reopened November 2025 |
| Marrakech | Marrakech Grand Stadium | About 46,000 | Second-phase rebuild: track removed, pitch lowered |
| Agadir | Adrar Stadium | About 46,000 | Second-phase rebuild: track removed, stands moved closer |
| Fes | Fes Grand Stadium | Sources differ, from about 35,000 to 55,800 | Second-phase rebuild toward its 2030 layout |

Grand Stade Hassan II is at Benslimane, between Casablanca and Rabat, and some reports put it about 40 km outside the city. That matters for hotels: a room in central Casablanca doesn't mean a short trip to the match, and we found no published matchday transport plan.
Whether it stages the final is undecided. Our World Cup 2030 overview sets out the contenders. Casablanca itself works as an arrival point more than a sightseeing city, and we were there for a day in 2022.
• Rabat is the easy choice as a base: a compact capital with the Kasbah of the Udayas and Hassan Tower, and it sits close to the Benslimane site on the map. We spent 2 days there in September 2022.
• Tangier has the shortest link to Spain, with ferries across the Strait of Gibraltar and a high-speed line south to Casablanca. It is also in the 2027 eclipse path, covered in our Tangier eclipse guide. We spent 3 days there in late August 2022.

• Marrakech will be the most expensive and most visited base, and among the hottest. Reported June and July highs often reach about 38°C. Our how many days in Marrakech page helps you split your time.
• Fes is the historic pick, with its medina at the centre of the trip. Sources put its June highs in the low 30s °C.
• Agadir is a beach resort on the Atlantic and the mildest of the group in summer, with reported July averages in the mid 20s °C. We have not been there, so we can't speak to it first-hand.
For moving between them, see getting between the host cities.
• Which matches each city gets, and how many. FIFA has not published this.
• Whether all six stadiums survive to the final list. The formal approval was expected around December 2026.
• Ticket dates and prices. We found nothing official.
• Accommodation rules or price caps for the tournament. We found none, so don't assume any.

It is being built at Benslimane, between Casablanca and Rabat, not in central Casablanca.
No. It is under construction. Le360 gives a December 2027 target, while other reports say late 2028.
Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat, open since September 2025, and Tangier Grand Stadium, reopened in November 2025.
