Every match of the 2027 Netball World Cup is at Afterpay Arena, the former Qudos Bank Arena, in Sydney Olympic Park, from 25 August to 5 September 2027, according to the organisers. If you are going to several sessions, stay out west at Olympic Park, Rhodes, Strathfield or Parramatta, because the CBD means a long ride every time. The hotel search above opens on the Finals Pass days, Thursday 2 to Monday 6 September. Tickets open to registered fans on Tuesday 10 November 2026 and to the public on Thursday 12 November 2026, both at 12:00pm AEDT. We were in Sydney from 17 to 19 February 2023, so the details below come from the organisers and from Transport for NSW's big-event arrangements.
The organisers give 25 August to 5 September 2027, with all 64 matches across 12 days on one court at one venue, and 16 teams. One listing has the final on 4 September, but the organisers say 5 September.
The organisers named Afterpay Arena as the venue on 26 October 2026. If you see Qudos Bank Arena in older pages, it is the same building: the arena was renamed in 2026 under a five-year naming deal, as Forbes Australia and others reported.
The tournament has both Cup and Plate competitions. The draw is due in December 2026, and the organisers say the match schedule will follow later in the year. Until you see it, you will not know which session your team plays, which is the argument for a base that works for all of them.

The first ticket release has these dates, according to the organisers. Once they have passed, go to Ticketek for what is left.
• Presale for registered fans: from Tuesday 10 November 2026, 12:00pm AEDT. Sign up at nwc2027.com/tickets to be eligible.
• General public sale: from Thursday 12 November 2026, 12:00pm AEDT, through Ticketek.
• Single sessions: the full range goes on sale in February 2027.
Official fan travel and hospitality packages, which include match tickets, were already on sale when we checked. Children aged 3 and under are free on the knee, and concessions are available.
Night sessions over the first eight days are double headers, so one ticket covers two matches.
| Ticket | Adult from | Child 4 to 15 from | Limit per person |

| Opening Night, Wed 25 Aug | A$59 | A$30 | 8 |

The arena is in Sydney Olympic Park, served by Olympic Park station. For big events at the neighbouring Stadium Australia, Transport for NSW runs express trains from Central and a shuttle from Lidcombe Platform 0 every 10 minutes, as our Rugby World Cup guide describes. Transport plans for the netball were not published when we checked, so do not assume the express trains will run for every session. Expect to change at Lidcombe on an ordinary day.
From Sydney Airport: take the train towards Central and connect west, or compare the options in our Sydney Airport guide, since the airport station fee applies. Overseas visitors should also check our Australia ETA guide.

The ranking is our own judgement, based on time to the arena. All times here are our rough estimates, not timetable figures, so check them in the Transport for NSW trip planner.
1. Sydney Olympic Park. Roughly 5 to 10 minutes on foot, with hotels beside the venue. The catch: a sports and business precinct, with little else to do.
2. Rhodes and Homebush. Roughly 10 to 15 minutes, with plenty of apartments, which suit groups. The catch: quiet in the evenings.
3. Strathfield and Burwood. Roughly 15 to 20 minutes, with Korean and Chinese food and usually good value. The catch: a train change at Lidcombe.
4. Parramatta. Roughly 15 to 25 minutes, with its own restaurants and riverside. The catch: transfers, and a long way from the harbour.
5. Sydney CBD. Roughly 30 to 40 minutes. Use this only if the sights matter more than the netball. The catch: a long ride for every session.
We have no sourced hotel rates, so this is general advice. The organisers are targeting more than 200,000 spectators across the tournament. Book a free-cancellation room now, then adjust once the December draw and the match schedule are out.
The Sydney Marathon falls on Sunday 29 August, in the middle of the tournament. It affects the harbour more than Olympic Park, but if you are staying in the CBD, expect road closures that morning.
Late August and early September is the turn from winter to spring, so pack a layer. Our best time to visit Australia guide has the seasons. Sydney Olympic Park also hosts the United Cup tennis in January.
