Where should I stay for the 2027 Copa del Rey final in Seville?

By · Published · Last updated

The 2027 Copa del Rey final is on 24 April at Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, according to the RFEF, Spain's federation. The stadium has no Metro stop, so the Isla de la Cartuja is closest, while the Alameda de Hércules is the nearest lively area. Most visitors will not get a ticket: in 2026 they went through the finalists' members, and they were nominative and tied to an app. Unless you are a member of a finalist, plan final weekend as a city trip. We were in Seville from 16 to 21 August 2022.

The final: date, venue and kick-off

The RFEF states that the 2026/27 competition will be decided on 24 April 2027 at Estadio de La Cartuja, a Saturday, in a note published on 7 September 2026. The RFEF also confirmed La Cartuja as host for 2026, 2027 and 2028. A resurfaced page placing the final at the Bernabéu is a 2013 article with a current date stamp.

No 2027 kick-off is published. The 2026 final kicked off at 21:00 on a Saturday. Capacity figures vary, so about 70,000 is the safest number.

Finalists are expected to be known in March. Fan zones are normally split by club, so check after that.

Tickets: why neutrals have almost no route

In 2026, tickets went through the finalists' members, with each club receiving about 25,680 general seats. There was no sale at La Cartuja's box offices. Tickets were nominative, non-transferable and shown through the RFEF app. Access can be very hard even for members: Atlético required 15.79 years of membership in 2026.

2026 prices, reported by El Español: €89 (≈ $99) for reduced view (451 seats), €115 (≈ $128) for the cheapest clear view, then €133 to €144 (≈ $149–161) and €167 to €179 (≈ $186–200), up to €282 (≈ $315) in the grandstand. 2025: €72 to €270 (≈ $80–301). 2024: €40 to €220 (≈ $45–246). No 2027 prices are published.

Resale is high risk. Listings started at €899 (≈ $1,004) in 2026, for tickets that are nominative and tied to an app. A resold ticket may simply not get you in.

Getting to La Cartuja

Metro. La Cartuja has no Metro stop. Take Line 1 to Blas Infante, then the match shuttle, according to Real Betis's mobility plan and Seville Traveller.

Tussam buses. Lines 2, C1 and C2 serve the stadium, but sources disagree on which C line is better in each direction, so check Tussam for the day. For Betis v Real Madrid in September 2026, Tussam added 40 buses and gave free post-match rides. The final's arrangements are not published.

On foot. From the Barqueta bridge it is about 1,300 m, or 18 minutes.

From the airport. The Tussam EA bus runs to Plaza de Armas via Santa Justa in about 35 minutes. Sources disagree on its hours and fare, so check Tussam.

Late return. Metro last trains on Fridays and Saturdays run at about 02:00 from the line ends, so earlier mid-line. After a 21:00 kick-off with extra time, you would need the shuttle quickly.

Where to stay, ranked by time to the stadium

This order is our own judgement, based on time to the stadium. Unless a source is named, the times are our rough estimates, so check a journey planner.

1. Isla de la Cartuja. Roughly 10 to 20 minutes on foot. The catch: few rooms, and nothing around them.

2. Alameda de Hércules and Macarena. Roughly 10 minutes to the Barqueta bridge, plus the 18-minute walk, so close to 30 minutes on foot. It is the closest lively area, and you depend on no bus. The catch: a long walk back after midnight.

3. Triana. Roughly 25 to 35 minutes by bus or on foot, with great food and the river. The catch: bus routing varies by match.

4. El Arenal and Puerta de Jerez. Roughly 25 to 35 minutes via Metro and shuttle, in a central location. The catch: shuttle queues and pressure on the late return.

5. Santa Cruz. Roughly 30 to 40 minutes, and the prettiest area. The catch: tourist prices and a long return.

If you have no ticket, reverse the list: the old town is where final weekend is best spent. Our Andalusia itinerary shows how Seville fits a longer trip.

Timing the trip

• Feria de Abril. The fair normally follows about two weeks after Easter, which is 28 March in 2027. Our Feria guide gives expected dates of 13 to 18 April, which are not officially published, so the fair should finish before the final.

• Semana Santa. See our Semana Santa 2027 guide if you are extending the trip around Easter.

• Booking. Reserve free cancellation now for the nights of 23 and 24 April, then decide once the finalists are known.

• Stadium logistics. Betis are staying at La Cartuja until at least 2028, so the match-day operation is regularly tested. For a league alternative, BeSoccer lists the Seville derby there on the weekend of 6-7 February 2027, an announced window that TV can move.
