Stay on the U6, which runs through central Munich to Fröttmaning for the Allianz Arena: Schwabing is the quickest lively base and Marienplatz the best for sights, about 16 minutes away. Add a signed walk of 12 to 15 minutes from the station. Bayern's ten 2027 home league dates are matchday weekends, except the final day on 22 May, so do not book around a kick-off until it is published. Non-member tickets are very limited, and entry is digital-only through the club's apps from 2026/27. We were in Munich from 20 to 25 July 2023.
These come from anstosszeiten.de, which sets out the DFL's 2026/27 schedule. Apart from the final day, each row is a matchday weekend or midweek window and not a fixed date. The DFL sets exact days and kick-offs in stages, a few weeks ahead, with TV slots on Friday at 20:30, Saturday at 15:30 and 18:30, and Sunday from 15:30. Only 108 of 306 games had fixed times when we checked. Check the fixture again before you commit.

The Allianz Arena leg of Bayern v Dortmund was scheduled for 31 October 2026. The 2027 meeting is in Dortmund on matchday 25, the first weekend of March, according to kicker. Dortmund is off our route, so we do not cover it here.
From 2026/27, entry is digital only through the FC Bayern or Allianz Arena apps. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet do not work, and transfers go only through official channels. Set up the app before you travel.
Non-member tickets are very limited, according to one third-party guide. We could not read the club's official prices or resale page, so we give no prices. Start with fcbayern.com, and be wary of any seller who cannot deliver a ticket through the official apps.
U6 to Fröttmaning, then a signed walk of 1.1 km, about 12 to 15 minutes. The ride is about 16 minutes from Marienplatz. FC Bayern describes dense U6 service between Marienplatz and Fröttmaning on matchdays.

Check for U6 works. The line has had restrictions before, so look at the Allianz Arena or MVV site near your match.
This order is our own judgement, based on time to the stadium. Unless a source is named, the times are our rough estimates, so check a journey planner. Add the walk from Fröttmaning to each.
1. Schwabing and Münchner Freiheit. Roughly 10 to 12 minutes on the U6, and lively. The catch: it is pricier.
2. Altstadt and Marienplatz. About 16 minutes on the U6, with the sights on your doorstep. The catch: premium hotels.
3. Sendlinger Tor. Roughly 18 to 20 minutes on the U6, and good value. The catch: a busy junction.
4. Hauptbahnhof. Roughly 20 to 25 minutes with a change, and best for the airport and rail. The catch: rough edges by the station.

• Avoid midweek windows if you can. 12-14 January and 2-4 March are the two midweek home windows, so a weekend trip will not fit them.
• Stay flexible. A Friday or Sunday move is possible, so book free cancellation and do not fix flights until the kick-off is published.
• The firmest date. Saturday 22 May, Bayern v Eintracht Frankfurt at 15:30, is the only home date with a listed day and time.
