What Turkey actually expects

5–10% at sit-down restaurants, a little more for excellent service in upscale Istanbul places. Round up taxi fares, and give small cash tips to hamam attendants, guides and porters. Since 30 January 2026 restaurants may not add a service or cover charge, so any tip is entirely your choice.
