**The VANDA Pharmaceuticals Berlin Tennis Open runs from 14 to 20 June 2027 at the Steffi-Graf-Stadion in Grunewald, according to the WTA. Charlottenburg is the best base: on the S7 direct to Grunewald, with restaurants around Savignyplatz, and a station about 5 minutes on foot from the courts.** The hotel search above opens on the final weekend, Friday 18 to Monday 21 June 2027. We were in Berlin from 9 to 12 July 2023. That record shows the city and the dates, so the tournament detail below comes from the organiser and the WTA.

## Getting to the Steffi-Graf-Stadion

Take the **S7 to Grunewald**, then walk about 5 minutes, signposted from the station, per the organiser. Your event ticket does not include a BVG ticket, so buy one. There is also a bus stop at Hagenplatz. There is no reserved parking and the organisers warn of heavy traffic.

**From BER airport,** take a train to the Hauptbahnhof or the S-Bahn to Westkreuz, then the S7. That is roughly 50 to 60 minutes by our estimate, so check a journey planner. Our [Berlin airport guide](https://clevertourists.com/resources/berlin-airport-to-city-guide) has the details.

## Where to stay, ranked by travel time to the courts

The ranking is our judgement, based on time to the venue. All four times are our own estimates, so check them in a journey planner.

**1. Grunewald and Halensee (roughly 5 to 15 minutes).** The closest, in a villa district. **The catch:** few hotels, and quiet.

**2. Charlottenburg and Savignyplatz (roughly 15 to 20 minutes on the S7).** Restaurants and the Ku'damm. **The catch:** pricier in June.

**3. Zoo and Tiergarten (roughly 20 minutes on the S7).** Big hotels on a direct line. **The catch:** busy.

**4. Mitte and Hackescher Markt (roughly 30 to 35 minutes on the S7).** The sightseeing base, also direct. **The catch:** a long way back after late matches.

## Weather and the rest of the grass season

Grass needs dry weather and June thunderstorms are possible, so check the refund terms on your ticket and carry a light rain layer. Carry some euros as well; our [cash or card in Germany](https://clevertourists.com/resources/cash-or-card-in-germany) guide explains when you need them.

The Bad Homburg Open, near Frankfurt, follows on 19 to 26 June 2027, official from the organiser.
